SDU and COVID-19

We understand that our Soo Dance Unlimited family may have many questions in regards to re-opening.
Below we have tried to answer some for you.

NEW Studio Health & Safety Protocol

Limited Class Sizes: We will be putting a limit on all of our class sizes to ensure social distancing can be accommodated.

Hand Sanitizing Stations: Students will have access to a mandatory hand sanitizing station upon studio entry.

Contactless Temperature Readings: After students have sanitized their hands, our Health Greeter will then take their temperature to ensure the safety of everyone in the building.

Health Greeters: There will always be someone present to monitor entry, as well as assist with temperature readings, cleaning duties, and the safe exit of students.

Frequent Cleaning: Cleaning will be done between classes to all frequently touched surfaces, such as the barre and floor.

Mandatory Masks: Masks will be mandatory when entering the facility and in the hallways.

Pick-up and Drop-off: Students will only be allowed entry to the studio 10 minutes prior to their class to allow for cleaning time, and must be picked up directly after their class.

Staggered Scheduling: Class times will be staggered to allow students to pass easily through the hallways without excessive contact from more people than necessary.

Social Dis-DANCE Blocking: The studios will be blocked out to ensure a safe distance between all students and staff.

New Updated Waiver: Everyone must sign a newly updated waiver before entering the studio.

Online Registration: We are excited to offer our families online registration – contactless and convenient!

Change Rooms Closed: To help with social distancing, change rooms will  be closed, and students will be required to get ready at home.

Water Fountain Closed: To maintain less contact, the water fountain will be closed. We encourage our students to bring a full reusable, easy access water bottle.

We suggest all our students do a self-assessment before coming to the studio.
If a student should stay home if they are experiencing any of the following:

  • New onset of cough
  • Unexplained fatigue
  • Sore throat or difficulty swallowing

  • Runny or congested nose
  • Lost sense of taste or smell

SDU reserves the right to deny entry to or send home anyone who is experiencing the above symptoms to ensure the safety of our students.
